Photo: Man who was declared missing in Lagos, found locked up in police cell and allegedly denied permission to contact his family
It has been revealed that a young man, Elias Tosin Enifeni, who was earlier declared missing by his family was actually found locked up in a police cell in Ikeja.
The revelation was made to Rasheed Adedeji Fatuga, the Spokesman and Founder of Ikorodu Ambassadors Group, a Community focused movement. Read below:
Do you know the man in the picture bellow was found in a police station somewhere around Ikeja?
This is worrisome
How on earth would you arrest/detain a citizen in your custody without granting him permission to call a family member or friend in other for them to know his whereabout?
Do NPF ever thought of the trauma his wife and other family members went through within the past few days of keeping him in their custody without notice? We are in a lawless country, it's high time we all wake from slumber and rise against such illegal act, this could happen to any of us if action is not taken as regards this matter. It a big shame to the NPF and infringement of Mr Elias right as a citizen of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I think the Family of Mr Elias should file a case in court against NPF for detaining their child unlawfully.
