Ex-Arsenal star, Emmanuel Adebayor reveals he came close to taking his own life at 16 due to the pressure of playing football Togolese footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor , who plays as a striker for Turkish club ?stanbul Ba?ak?ehir has revealed how close he came to taking his own life at the age of 16. The 35-year-old striker started his football journey in France after moving to Europe from Togo as a youngster in a bid to fulfill his dream of becoming a top footballer. He went on to play for English clubs, first arriving with Arsenal in 2006 and then moving to Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace . He also played for Real Madrid in Spain. 10-month-old baby girl rescued in Ghana after being buried alive by her mother (Photos) A 10-month-old baby girl was rescued in a bush in Ghana after her mother reportedly buried her in a forest at Krobo-akye near Senya Breku in the Central region of Ghana. According to witnesses who spoke with Adom News , they heard cries and followed the sound only to find the baby girl buried in a makeshift grave in the bush. One of the residents, Yaa Grace said they quickly alerted the police leading to her rescue. The Senya Breku District Police Commander, DSP Matthew Boamponsem said the baby was dehydrated so they rushed her to the hospital for medical attention.
